Board of Directors
As provided in the current bylaws, the Board of Directors consists of eleven to fifteen members, appointed as follows:
- The President of Stanford University designates six to ten individuals to serve as directors;
- The Chair of the Board of Trustees of Stanford University is entitled to designate one individual to serve as a director;
- The Dean of Stanford University’s School of Education (or comparable office) or her/his designee, serves as a director, or has the power and right to designate an individual to serve as a director in her or is place;
- The Stanford University faculty member appointed as the sponsor of the secondary school program serves as a director;
- The Ravenswood City School District designates one individual to serve as a director (customarily the superintendent);
- The Parent Advisory Council supporting the high school program designates one individual to serve as a director.
Meetings of the Board are held quarterly, and officers are elected annually, with the Dean of the School of Education serving as Board Chair and President.
